Recipe: Lilo Loves Homemade Biscotti Italian Biscuits

I adore biscotti and decided the time was long over due to dig out an elderly relatives recipe. This recipe has been in the family for around 60 years and is a foolproof way to create your own delicious biscotti.


  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup of vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup of white sugar
  • 1 cup of almond flakes
  • 2 ½ cups of plain white flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon rind

Beat four eggs

  • Beat the eggs
  • Add the sugar and the oil and mix
  • Add all other ingredients, the flour last, and mix
  • Use two baking sheets, placing half the mixture on each, forming a circle
  • Bake for 20 minutes at 190c
  • Remove from oven, slice into individual biscotti, to your choice of size
  • Return to the oven for 5 or 10 minutes to brown
  • Enjoy!
